
TOMAHAWK WITH BAKED POTATOES
➤Ingredients:
0.800 – 1 kg Tomahawk
Olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
500 g small potatoes
10 sprigs thyme
➤ Preparation method Tomahawk with baked potatoes:
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Start by preparing the potatoes. Place a potato in a wooden spoon and make cuts across the width of each one 3-5 mm apart, being careful not to cut all the way through. Place the potatoes in a tray lined with baking paper and drizzle evenly with olive oil. Sprinkle with thyme sprigs and salt and bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes, stirring regularly with olive oil until golden and well penetrated.
Brush the tomahawk piece with olive oil and season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Place the meat in the oven with the potatoes about 20 minutes before the potatoes are done.
After the 20 minutes in the oven, broil the tomahawk on the hot grill or in a grill pan, turning on both sides, until it reaches the desired doneness; about 7 minutes on each side will be sufficient for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of the steak.
Finally, the steak is left to rest for 10 minutes, which will give it tenderness and juiciness. Slice thinly and serve with potatoes.
