GYROS

A very tasty and healthy recipe that can be made 100% at home.

➤ Ingredients:
1 piece of Angus beef picanha
beef spice mix
1 glass of dry red wine
2 sprigs green garlic or 2 cloves garlic
4 lebanese breads
800 gr potatoes
100 gr grated Parmesan cheese

For the sauce:
2 tablespoons yogurt
1 tablespoon ketchup
4-5 chopped pickled cucumbers
1 sprig of green garlic
1/2 bunch dill, finely chopped
1/2 tsp dried mint or 4-5 fresh mint leaves

➤ Preparation method:
Season the beef with the seasoning mix and place in a cast iron pot.
Add the chopped garlic and the glass of red wine over the meat. Then slowly bake the meat in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 5 hours.

Slice the potatoes into wedges, season with salt, pepper, paprika, green garlic and drizzle with sunflower oil. Mix well, place in the pan and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Everything goes in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes with heat up/down and ventilation.

For the sauce mix all the ingredients: yogurt, ketchup, pickled cucumber, garlic, dill and mint.

Cut the meat into strips and assemble the gyros.
Brush the Lebanese bread with sauce and add the meat and potatoes, then roll.
