BRAISED BEEF STEW

Beef stew prepared in the Instant Pot, using the pressure cooking program. It turned out extremely tender, and the meat easily separated from the bone 👌.

➤ Ingredients:

1.6 kg beef ribs
3 carrots, peeled and sliced into rounds
2 celery stalks, chopped into smaller pieces
1 finely chopped onion
3 crushed garlic cloves
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Spices & herbs: salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary (all to taste)
150 ml red wine
1 tablespoon cornstarch
For serving: mashed potatoes

➤ Preparation:

In English:

1. In a little oil, fry the Premium Angus beef ribs cut into smaller pieces for about 2 minutes on each side, then remove them and set them aside.
2. Sauté the onion and garlic in the same pot, add the carrots, and mix.
3. lace the beef in the pot, add the spices, herbs, tomato paste, and wine, then mix. Pour enough water into the pot to cover the ingredients.
4. Put the lid on the Instant Pot and let it cook for 45 minutes on the “pressure cook” setting.
5. Remove the meat and vegetables from the pot. You can strain the remaining broth and pour it back into the pot.
6. Mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with 3 tablespoons of water and add the mixture to the pot over the broth. Now you can add the beef (removed from the bone and torn into smaller pieces) and the vegetables you set aside in step 5 to the pot. Let everything simmer until the liquid thickens and reaches a sauce-like consistency.

That’s it! It can be served with creamy mashed potatoes.
